Want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Cancun? Take a road trip to Valladolid, a charming colonial town. It’s about 100 miles west of Cancun and close to the Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza. While you’re in Valladolid, check out the Casa de Los Venados, a private Mexican folk art collection.
Visit the Tequila Herradura Sensory Museum
Tequila Herradura Sensory Museum is housed in the Hacienda San José del Refugio. You’ll learn the history of Tequila, art of tequila making through traditional techniques and tools, and how to properly drink the liquor.
Cancun Underwater Museum
Dive into MUSA (Museo Subacuatico de Arte) and check out over 450 sculptures off the coast of between Cancun and Isla Mujeres. They rest between 13 to 30 feet; the best way to see them is by scuba diving or snorkeling.
